Obverse description Draped and laureate bust of King George III facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing hair adorned with a laurel wreath. The effigy occupies the central field with strong sculptural modelling characteristic of Proof pattern coinage. The peripheral legend reads GEORGIVS · III · DEI · GRA · in raised Roman capitals, separated by pellets, and the coin exhibits a beaded border throughout.
