| Obverse description | Blue on pink underprint, with a central vignette of General José E. Díaz in portrait view, flanked by face value numerals "5" at the sides and in letters "CINCO" along the lateral edges rotated 90° and 270°. The Paraguayan coat of arms appears at upper left, with the issuer name arched across the top and the full legal tender inscription in small text below the portrait. Two signature varieties are known for this type. |
