Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse displays the bold numeral '5' in a large, stylized Art Deco typeface at the centre of the field, flanked on either side by decorative foliate scrollwork. Beneath the numeral, the denomination legend GROSZY is inscribed in prominent capital letters of matching Art Deco style, curving slightly along the lower field. The overall design is clean and minimalist, with the denomination elements filling the coin's face within a plain raised rim. The zinc planchet gives the piece a darker, matte surface texture characteristic of trial strike material.

Aanvullende informatie

Trial strikes from the Polish State Mint's 1925 series were produced as the newly reconstituted Polish monetary system was still finding its footing — the złoty itself had only been formally introduced that year, replacing the deeply inflated marka. Zinc was tested as a base metal candidate before iron was ultimately selected for the circulating 5 groszy issue.

KM# Pn10 is among several documented piedforts and pattern pieces from this period, most of which ended up in institutional collections rather than commerce.
