Obverse description Central oval shield bearing the quartered arms of the Duchy of Warsaw — combining the Saxon arms (with diagonal bend and rampant lions) and the Polish White Eagle — surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial. The shield is flanked symmetrically by two palm or laurel branches curving outward from the base, lending a decorative heraldic frame to the composition. The design is rendered in moderate relief with no surrounding legend, presenting the arms as the sole device on an unlettered field.
