| 裏面の説明 | A bold long cross extends to divide the field into four quarters; the first and fourth quarters each bear an annulet, while the second and third quarters each display three bezants arranged in triangular formation. A Latin legend in two segments is disposed around the cross, enclosed between inner and outer beaded circles, with the mint name and date integrated into the inscription. |

Cervera's mint was activated in 1641 under extraordinary circumstances: the Catalan Revolt, known as the Guerra dels Segadors, had erupted that year as Catalan institutions openly broke with Philip IV of Spain. The Principality needed its own coinage to fund the conflict and assert institutional independence, and Cervera — one of the few inland mints with capacity — was pressed into service alongside Barcelona. France's Louis XIII was simultaneously being recognized as Count of Barcelona, making this issue a direct product of that fractured, dual-authority moment in the Crown of Aragon's final convulsions.
