Obverse description	Central vignette of the Combat de Vertières monument, an intaglio-engraved sculptural group of figures rendered in red on a fine guilloche underprint, with the large numeral '5' at left. The denomination 'CINQ GOURDES' appears in a solid red band below the vignette, and the year 'ANNÉE 1989' is placed at lower right. Three facsimile signatures appear beneath the legal tender clause, attributed to Le Gouverneur, Le Gouverneur Adjoint, and Le Directeur Général.
