| Obverse description | Printed in teal-green on cream paper, the obverse carries the arms of Lille — a crowned shield bearing three fleurs-de-lis — as a central vignette at the top, flanked by the bold letterpress inscription VILLE DE LILLE in large capitals. The denomination CINQ FRANCS appears in a rectangular panel at centre, with the serial number and series letter printed in black at either side. Below, the authorising text references the Municipal Council deliberation of 11 April 1917, with two manuscript signatures of the Receveur Municipal and the Maire at foot. |
