Reverse description Three allegorical figures stand in the central field in neoclassical style: at center, a bearded Hercules rendered as a powerful male figure; to his left, Liberty wearing a helmet and holding a pike surmounted by a Phrygian cap; to his right, Justice draped in robes and holding scales and a fasces. A small winged figure (Victory) appears at lower left, and a Gallic rooster at lower right. The engraver's signature 'Dupré' appears in script at the bottom of the field between two pellets. The arc legend 'UNION ET FORCE' curves along the upper periphery, with a star and dot at right.
