| Obverse description | Central intaglio vignette at left shows a seated woman in classical dress tending to a child beside a wicker beehive, rendered in fine engraved detail. The bank title BANQUE DU CONGO BELGE arches across the upper portion, with the denomination CINQ FRANCS in a bold guilloche panel to the right and the payable location STANLEYVILLE inscribed below.
