| Descrizione del dritto | Central field features an elaborate six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) set within a circular arabesque border, the interlaced geometric star enclosing the Hijri date 1347 in Arabic numerals within an oval cartouche. The surrounding annular band is filled with dense foliate and interlace ornament in the Maghrebi decorative tradition. The upper arc bears the Latin legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN, while the lower arc carries the Arabic royal title and reign inscription. The overall design reflects the French Protectorate-era engraving style characteristic of the Paris Mint ateliers. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central motif consists of a square-on-point (lozenge) frame enclosing the denomination numeral 5 above the inscription FRANCS and below it the word ESSAI, with the engraver's cornucopia privy mark at the base of the central cartouche. The lozenge is set within a circular arabesque medallion of interlaced strapwork and floral ornament. The upper arc of the outer border carries the Latin legend MAROC, flanked by decorative rosettes, while the lower arc bears the corresponding Arabic inscription. The composition exemplifies the Art Deco–inflected Orientalist style employed by Bazor for French Protectorate Moroccan coinage. |
