Obverse description Central field features an elaborate six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) set within a circular arabesque border, the interlaced geometric star enclosing the Hijri date 1347 in Arabic numerals within an oval cartouche. The surrounding annular band is filled with dense foliate and interlace ornament in the Maghrebi decorative tradition. The upper arc bears the Latin legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN, while the lower arc carries the Arabic royal title and reign inscription. The overall design reflects the French Protectorate-era engraving style characteristic of the Paris Mint ateliers.
