| Reverse description | The full achievement of the arms of the Principality of Monaco occupies the central field, depicting the quartered lozengy shield of the Grimaldi family — argent and gules — surmounted by the princely crown with cross finial. Two armoured knights in robes serve as supporters, each holding a sword outward and grasping part of the heraldic mantle. A ribbon scroll below the shield bears the motto DEO JUVANTE. The denomination 5 flanks the arms on either side in large numerals, with FRANCS and the date 1945 inscribed in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded border. |
