| Obverse description | Left-facing laureate bust of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, rendered in high relief in the Art Deco style of Lavrillier. Her hair is elaborately coiffed, adorned with a wreath of laurel leaves, with a braided chignon at the nape. The legend REPVBLIQVE FRANÇAISE arcs along the periphery, divided by the portrait, with the engraver's signature A. LAVRILLIER incused in the lower field. The coin is bordered by a fine beaded inner rim. |
