Reverse description The reverse, engraved by Carl Fischer, is divided horizontally into two allegorical registers separated by a raised baseline. The upper register depicts two male figures flanking a horse in motion, symbolising agricultural labour, with the word ARBEIT (Work) inscribed in the field to the right. The lower register features a prominent handshake in high relief, symbolising community and solidarity, with the legend GEMEINSCHAFT (Community) inscribed above it. The engraver's signature F. FISCHER and the mintmark HF appear along the lower exergue. The composition reflects the Social Realist aesthetic and the civic ideals promoted by the 1939 Schweizerische Landesausstellung.
