| Obverse description | Within a wreath composed of olive branches on the left and oak branches on the right, tied at the base with a ribbon, the denomination '5 FRANCS' is prominently displayed in two lines at centre, with the date below. The circular legend 'REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' runs along the upper periphery, separated from the wreath by the inner beaded border. The mint mark appears in the exergue below the wreath.
