Obverse description Typeset emergency issue printed in red on plain paper, enclosed within a decorative border of repeating floral rosette units. The issuer name HAUTEVILLE is set in bold capitals across the top, with denomination numerals '5 fr' in red cartouches at upper left and upper right. The central text block carries the large bold legend CINQ FRANCS, with administrative redemption clauses in smaller letterpress below. A circular commune validation stamp is applied in black at upper left, and three manuscript signatures of the delegates of the Commission de Contrôle appear in the lower portion above the validity notice.
