The Caisse Centrale de la France d'Outre-Mer used a single note design across multiple territories simultaneously — the same P#22 type circulated in French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, differentiated only by overprint or decree text. This multi-territory approach was a deliberate postwar administrative consolidation, not a printing economy measure.
Beltrand was among the most technically accomplished intaglio engravers working at the Banque de France atelier during this period. Chapon handled the reverse plate separately — a division of labor common to Banque de France production but worth noting given how unified the finished note appears.
