Obverse description The obverse features the large ornate cypher monogram of Tsar Alexander I of Russia in high relief at the centre of the field, composed of an interlaced letter 'A' with the Roman numeral 'I' below. The circular legend reads AU PACIFICATEUR DE L'EUROPE around the upper periphery, with PARIS below the monogram, and the engraver's signature TIOLIER incuse along the lower rim. The piece is bordered by a continuous beaded inner edge.
