| Reverse description | The reverse displays the country name 'TUNISIE' in bold raised Latin capitals across the upper field, above the large numeral '5' at centre, with 'FRANCS' in similarly bold capitals below. Ornate arabesque foliate scrollwork decorates the areas flanking the numeral and fills the upper and lower registers, lending the design a distinctly Franco-Moorish aesthetic. The engraver's mark appears in the lower exergue area. A continuous toothed border encircles the entire design. |
