| Aanvullende informatie |
Juan de Nova is a tiny French-administered island in the Mozambique Channel, claimed also by Madagascar and the Comoros, with no permanent civilian population and no functioning local economy. It has never had a circulating currency. Coins attributed to it are fantasy issues — produced by private mints exploiting the territory's obscure jurisdictional status to generate collector revenue, with no authorization from any recognized monetary authority.
