Reverse description	Central field features the large numeral 5 in bold relief, ornamented with a dotted border and outlined in a decorative frame, above the denomination FRANCOS and the date 1985. The word ESSAI appears above the numeral, confirming the pattern status of this strike. Two small symbolic devices flank the numeral at mid-field. An elaborate geometric border of interlocking zigzag and rope-twist motifs, interspersed with rectangular cartouches, frames the entire central design. The legend BANQUE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE is inscribed within a panel along the upper periphery.
