Obverse description	Two Giant Eland antelopes (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in right profile, their long spiralled horns prominently rendered against a naturalistic savanna background of grasses and reeds. The composition fills the entire field in high relief, with fine engraved detail throughout the animals' coats and vegetation. The engraver's signature G. B. BAZOR appears discreetly to the right of centre. The circumferential legend REPUBLICA DE GUINEA ECUATORIAL arcs along the upper rim in raised Latin characters.
