Reverse description A large imperial Chinese dragon, rendered in high relief, occupies the central field, depicted facing forward with its sinuous scaled body coiling around a central flaming pearl. The dragon's fierce visage, with open jaws, prominent claws, and finely detailed scales and whiskers, is characteristic of the Qing dynastic dragon type used on late imperial coinage. A beaded inner border separates the central dragon motif from the surrounding English-language legend. The legend arcs along the upper periphery reading '29TH YEAR OF KUANG HSÜ' and along the lower periphery reading 'HU POO', all within a toothed milled rim.
