Obverse description Bold Persian Nasta'liq calligraphic inscription filling the entire field, reading 'Felus-e Mamalek-e Iran' (Copper coin of the kingdoms of Iran). The legend is arranged in sweeping diagonal bands across the flan, with decorative dot ornaments in the field. The script is rendered in a large, flowing style characteristic of Qajar-era copper coinage, occupying nearly the full surface of the coin.
