Reverse description The reverse, designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, presents a dynamic allegorical composition celebrating hydroelectric power. In the upper field, a dramatic Alpine mountain landscape with a large dam wall is depicted, with stylised cascading water rendered in fine relief flowing down from the reservoir. To the lower right, a powerhouse building with turbine infrastructure is shown in detailed relief, while the lower left features a large Pelton or Francis turbine wheel in close-up, emphasising mechanical precision. A sweeping water droplet motif integrates the compositional elements, conveying the transformation of natural water force into electrical energy. The inscription 'WASSERKRAFT' arcs along the upper border, with the date '2003' inscribed to the left of centre in the field.
