| Obverse description | The obverse presents a stylized topographic map rendered in an intricate dashed and dotted line pattern, evoking a scouting trail map or orienteering chart across the entire field. Scattered throughout the design are miniature pictographic symbols representing natural and scouting landmarks, including trees, campfires, tents, compasses, and various terrain features, all executed in a delicate incuse style. The legend LIETUVA arcs prominently along the upper portion of the coin in bold raised lettering. The denomination 5 € appears to the right, with the year 2019 positioned below it near the lower right. The mint mark LMK is incorporated into the design field, completing the obverse inscription. |

Issued to mark the centenary of the Lithuanian Scout movement, which was founded in 1918 — the same year Lithuania declared independence. Scouting was banned during the Soviet occupation and only formally restored after 1990, meaning the movement spent more decades suppressed than it did active during its first hundred years.
