背面描述 The reverse depicts a lively, cartoon-style rendering of the Marsupilami — the iconic Belgian comic strip character created by André Franquin — shown in dynamic motion with its characteristic long, coiled tail sweeping prominently across the upper field. To the left, the numeral '70' is rendered in large bold relief, accompanied by the bilingual inscription 'ANS / JAAR' (French and Dutch for 'years'), commemorating the 70th anniversary of the character's first appearance. The name 'MARSUPILAMI' is engraved in bold stylized lettering along the lower field. The copyright notice '© Dargaud-Lombard, 2022' appears in the exergue.

附加信息

Issued under Belgium's long-running commemorative program for children's cultural icons, this coin honors Marsupilami — the spotted fictional creature created by Belgian cartoonist André Franquin and first appearing in the Spirou comic strip in 1952. Franquin later spun the character off into its own series in 1987, and it has remained a fixture of Franco-Belgian bande dessinée ever since. Belgium has repeatedly used its circulating commemorative program to recognize the country's outsized contribution to the comic arts, a tradition that has included Tintin, the Smurfs, and Lucky Luke.
