Reverse description A detailed architectural rendering of the Basilica of Mariazell, Austria's most celebrated Marian pilgrimage church, dominates the field. The façade is depicted frontally, showcasing the central Gothic spire flanked by the two Baroque onion-domed towers characteristic of the basilica's composite architectural style, with broad entrance steps in the foreground and foliage to the right. The commemorative legend '850 JAHRE MARIAZELL' arcs along the upper field, while the founding and issue years '1157' and '2007' are inscribed to the right in the field, marking the 850th anniversary of the shrine's founding. The finely engraved design is the work of Thomas Pesendorfer and captures both the grandeur and historical significance of the pilgrimage site.
