| 背面描述 | A stylized bust-length effigy of Eleanor of Portugal faces forward, rendered in low relief in a medieval artistic style. She wears an elaborate imperial crown surmounted by a cross, with long flowing hair cascading over her shoulders, and richly ornamented robes with decorative beadwork at the neckline and hem. To the upper left of the field the legend LEONOR arcs, and to the upper right D PORTUGAL follows the curve of the coin, while the birth and death years 1434 and 1467 appear in two lines to the right of the figure. |

This coin was issued to mark the 550th anniversary of the death of Leonor of Portugal, queen consort of the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick III. Leonor died in 1467 in Wiener Neustadt, having never returned to Portugal after her 1452 marriage — a union arranged partly to secure Iberian diplomatic alignment with the Habsburgs at a moment when Castile and Aragon were pulling in competing directions. The INCM issued both silver and copper-nickel versions of this commemorative simultaneously, the KM#847a designation distinguishing the sterling strike.
