| 背面描述 | The two-faced head of the Roman god Janus dominates the field, depicted in high relief with two opposing profiles — a bearded older male face to the left and a youthful female-featured face to the right — separated by a large ornate key bearing the date '2021' in its bow. Roman numeral hour markers (XI, XII, I, II) arc along the upper rim, evoking a clock face and the transition of time. A radiant sun face appears in the lower right field. The inscription 'JANUS' is engraved along the lower edge. |

Issued as part of Austria's "Wiener Philharmoniker" base-metal collector series, this piece takes its name from the two-faced Roman deity of beginnings and transitions — a fitting choice for a coin released in the first year following the disruptions of 2020. The Austrian Mint has increasingly used thematic collector euros in copper and niobium to maintain engagement with the collector market without drawing on the bullion Philharmoniker's prestige.
