| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a left-facing bust portrait of Dona Isabel de Portugal, Empress of the Holy Roman Empire, rendered in a Renaissance artistic style consistent with period portraiture. She is depicted wearing an elaborate braided coiffure, a high-collared gown adorned with beaded necklaces, and period-appropriate court dress. To her right stands a large fleur-de-lis cross, a heraldic symbol associated with her royal lineage. The curved legend 'D. ISABEL DE PORTUGAL' arcs across the upper field, while the engraver's name 'INCM - HUGO MACIEL' is inscribed vertically along the left rim. |

Isabella of Portugal — known in Spanish history as Isabel de Portugal — was the wife of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V and served as regent of Spain three times during his prolonged absences. Her 1526 marriage to Charles was arranged partly to consolidate Iberian political alliances, but the union became, by most contemporary accounts, genuinely close. She died in 1539 at Toledo, and Charles reportedly never fully recovered from the loss, withdrawing into mourning for weeks before resuming imperial duties.
This coin belongs to INCM's ongoing series of Portuguese queens and notable historical women, struck in .925 silver with a relatively modest 14g specification suited to collector circulation rather than bullion holding.
