| Obverse description | Central design features a stylized double-headed imperial eagle displayed, its wings spread broadly across the coin's field, surmounted by an imperial crown. Superimposed at the center of the eagle's body is a circular shield bearing the Portuguese quinas (five escutcheons). The composition is rendered in high relief with a pronounced sculptural quality.
