| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays an elaborate stylized floral composition inspired by Indo-Portuguese decorative inlay work, centered on a flowering tree or plant with symmetrical branches bearing large blooms and foliage in low relief against a polished field. A bird with outstretched wings perches at the center of the composition among the branches. At the base, a decorative urn or vase rendered in teal-blue colored enamel anchors the design, its surface ornamented with a geometric lattice pattern. Two undulating serpentine forms flank the central motif on either side. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, recalling the inlaid decorative panels typical of Indo-Portuguese cabinet furniture. |
