Obverse description Central design features two confronted lion heads rendered in high relief, their open mouths accented with red enamel coloring evoking carved decorative elements characteristic of Indo-Portuguese furniture. The Portuguese royal arms appear centrally at the top of the field, flanked by a decorative border of small asterisks and quatrefoil ornaments arranged in a circular pattern. The curved legend MOBILIÁRIO INDO-PORTUGUÊS arcs along the upper periphery. In the lower field, the denomination 5 EURO is inscribed, with SARA FEIO at lower left, CASA DA MOEDA at lower center, and PORTUGAL 2023 at lower right.

Reverse description The reverse presents an elaborately engraved decorative composition derived from Indo-Portuguese furniture marquetry motifs, depicting a stylized flowering tree or plant with large blossoms and sweeping foliage, centered upon a vase rendered in blue enamel with a geometric lattice pattern. A bird in flight is shown perched centrally among the branches. Two sinuous serpentine or vine tendrils flank the vase in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a plain inner border and a beaded outer rim, capturing the distinctive fusion of South Asian and Portuguese decorative arts traditions.
