| Reverse description | A highly detailed, polychrome coloured depiction of a great green bush-cricket (Tettigonia viridissima), known in German as Grünes Heupferd, dominates the centre of the field, rendered in vivid green colour application. The insect is shown in naturalistic profile facing left, its long antennae and powerful hind legs clearly articulated, resting amid engraved grass stems and seed heads that fill the background field. The legend 'GRÜNES HEUPFERD' is inscribed in a curved arc along the lower periphery. The designer's initials 'PN' appear to the right within the field. |
