Obverse description Within the copper-nickel centre, a stylised depiction of the Rusko drinking cup, an ornate medieval vessel rendered in high relief with elaborate scrollwork and floral decorative elements surrounding the cup's bowl. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the bilingual legend 'SUOMI' at upper left and 'FINLAND' at lower right, separated by small star devices, all in raised Latin lettering.

Reverse description Within the copper-nickel centre, the heraldic coat of arms of the Province of Finland Proper (Varsinais-Suomi) depicted in high relief, featuring a crowned shield bearing two crossed swords with a crowned heart motif at the centre, surmounted by a ducal crown. The denomination numeral '5' appears to the left of the arms, the engraver's initial 'T' and the mint mark appear to the right, and the date '2010' is inscribed at the top of the aluminium bronze outer ring with the legend 'EURO' along the lower arc.
