The Guerrero de Moixent — a small bronze Iberian warrior figurine unearthed in 1931 near Moixent, Valencia — became one of the defining archaeological discoveries of pre-Roman Iberian culture. Spain's decision to mint this coin in 2015 was part of the Real Casa de la Moneda's ongoing series celebrating Spanish archaeological and artistic heritage. The figurine itself, dated to roughly the 4th or 5th century BC, is held in the Museu de Prehistòria de València.
