| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a procession of pigs led by a hedgehog across the central field, referencing the Latvian folk tale from which the series takes its name. At the right of the composition, a fragment of a traditional ethnographic building is rendered in low relief, evoking the rural pastoral setting of the narrative. The denomination inscription 5 EURO appears at the upper portion of the design, while the Latvian legend EŽA KAŽOCIŅŠ (Hedgehog's Coat) curves in a semi-circular arc along the lower edge of the oval flan. |
