背面描述	Two richly attired allegorical figures are depicted in high relief at the centre of the field: on the left, a classical female figure wearing a plumed Roman helmet and ornate armour, representing Europa or a personification of European heritage; on the right, a traditionally costumed figure adorned with elaborate jewellery and holding a ceremonial staff, representing Maltese cultural identity. Between and above the two figures, the denomination 5 EURO is prominently displayed, with the numeral 5 to the left and the word EURO to its right. A circle of twelve five-pointed stars, symbolising the European Union, appears in the lower central field between the two figures, while a pattern of additional stars is scattered across the upper field.
