Aanvullende informatie

Part of Austria's long-running "Sounds of Austria" collector series, this issue commemorates Johann Strauss II's An der schönen blauen Donau — premiered in 1867 and initially a commercial disappointment before becoming arguably the most performed waltz ever written. The Austrian Mint issued this in its distinctive niobium-and-silver bimetallic format for most of the series, but this copper variant belongs to a separate circulation-quality tier aimed at general distribution rather than the collector market.
