| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse presents an architectural panorama arranged in three horizontal registers. In the upper register, a skyline of Bergamo's historic monuments is depicted, including the Galgario Tower, the Baptistery of the Cathedral, Porta San Giacomo, and Palazzo della Ragione. The central register features prominent landmarks of Brescia: the Castle (known as the 'Falcone d'Italia'), Palazzo della Loggia, and the ancient Capitolium. In the lower register, a decorative motif derived from the mosaic floor of the Domus dell'Ortaglia of ancient Brixia appears at left, with a detail of a carved capital from Palazzo della Ragione at right. The designer's name 'U. PERNAZZA' appears at lower left, and the legend 'REPUBBLICA ITALIANA' arches across the upper and lower borders of the field. |
