Obverse description At center, the historic RAI antenna symbol, traditionally used as the opening and closing device for broadcast programs. To the right, the RAI 50th anniversary logo appears alongside the commemorative dates 1954–2004. Three curved lines in the lower portion of the field represent RAI's three television channels. The engraver's signature U. PERNAZZA is inscribed at lower left. The surrounding legend reads REPVBBLICA ITALIANA.
