| Additional information |
Issued under Portugal's long-running thematic commemorative program, this piece was struck by INCM at the Lisbon mint, which has operated continuously since the 13th century — one of the oldest active minting institutions in Europe. The "youth and the future" theme reflects a post-bailout political emphasis in Portugal following the 2011–2014 EU-IMF assistance program, during which youth unemployment briefly exceeded 40%.
