Reverse description A classical bust of Hermes, the Greek god of commerce and messenger of the Olympians, dominates the central field, rendered in high relief in a neoclassical sculptural style. He is depicted wearing his characteristic winged petasos helmet, facing slightly to the right. The circular legend '200 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΠΟ ΤΗΝ ΟΝΟΜΑΤΟΔΟΣΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΡΜΟΥΠΟΛΗΣ' (200 Years from the Naming of Hermoupolis) arcs around the upper and right rim. The Greek state coat of arms accompanied by the inscription 'ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ' appears to the lower left of the bust, and the engraver's initials 'ΣΤΑΜ' are inscribed in the lower right field.
