| Descrizione del rovescio | The austere Romanesque façade of the Basilica Maggiore of the Sanctuary of La Verna is depicted in high relief, rendered with precise architectural detail including its arched portico, stone masonry, and bell tower. The sanctuary, set in the Apennine mountains of Tuscany, is the sacred site where Saint Francis of Assisi received the stigmata in 1224.
