Latvia's collector euro program has leaned heavily on optical and nature themes since the country joined the eurozone in 2014, and this issue continues that pattern. The "Fan of Light Rays" piece belongs to a series exploring natural phenomena through lenticular or surface-treatment techniques developed in partnership with the Latvian Mint's production team at Münze Österreich in Vienna, where Latvia's commemorative silver issues have been struck under contract.
