| Reverse description | The reverse, common to all eurozone 5 cent coins, features a stylized globe rendered in relief, designed by Luc Luycx, positioned to the left of center and showing Europe in geographic relation to Africa and Asia. The face value 5 EURO CENT is inscribed to the right of the globe in the central field. The designer's initials LL appear beneath the numeral, serving as the engraver's mark. Fine horizontal lines in the background of the globe field suggest latitude, adding depth to the cartographic motif. The twelve stars of the European Union encircle the entire design along the rim. |
