Beschrijving voorzijde A full-length female figure rendered in a fashion illustration style occupies the right-center of the field, depicting a model wearing an elegant draped gown characteristic of Giorgio Armani's inaugural 1975 collection, her arms outstretched in a graceful pose. The textured field features a distinctive horizontal ribbed pattern across the entire surface, lending a fabric-like aesthetic to the design. The legend REPUBBLICA ITALIANA arcs along the upper periphery in incuse lettering. Giorgio Armani's facsimile signature appears in the lower left field, while the date 2023 and the mint mark AM are inscribed in the lower right field.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued as part of Italy's ongoing "La Creatività Italiana" collector series, this piece commemorates Giorgio Armani — one of the few living designers to have been honored with a dedicated Italian state coinage. Armani founded his eponymous house in Milan in 1975 with a loan of roughly 10,000 dollars from a friend, and built it into one of the most commercially dominant fashion groups in the world without ever taking the company public.

The IPZS produced multiple types within this release, distinguishing them by finish and packaging rather than substantive design changes.
