| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central field depicts a woman kneading dough in a traditional wooden bread trough using a mixing paddle, rendered in detailed relief. Above the central scene, a spinning wheel occupies the upper field, with the semicircular legend LATVIJAS ETNOGRĀFISKAIS BRĪVDABAS MUZEJS arching along the upper periphery. Flanking the central image is an array of traditional folk implements in high relief: to the left, a fish basket, a spoon board with spoons, and a flour scoop are arranged vertically; to the right, a distaff, a bread-shovel, and a washboard are similarly disposed. The overall composition references the collections and heritage of the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum. |

Latvijas Banka has issued a consistent run of thematic collector silver since Latvia rejoined the international numismatic market following EU accession in 2004, and this piece continues that program. The "Across the Times" title suggests a historical continuity theme, a recurring subject in Latvian commemorative issues that implicitly references the country's turbulent twentieth century — Soviet occupation, independence restoration in 1991, and subsequent integration into European monetary union in 2014.
KM#232 places it late in the current catalog sequence for this issuer.
