Aanvullende informatie

Equatorial Guinea's 1975 coinage was issued under Francisco Macías Nguema, whose government had by that point expelled or killed the majority of the country's educated professional class and shuttered virtually every institution left functioning at independence. The regime relied on forced labor and had driven roughly a third of the population into exile. Coins of this period are curiosities of a state that had largely ceased to function in any conventional sense.
